Shopping with Mariel

Today I met up with Mariel at Robinson's Galleria. Our first stop was at Starbucks. Then we went around to do some window shopping. Then she suggested that we visit Chocolate Clothing Company because they carry Havaianas and she wants to check them out if ever they have new stocks already.

Goodness!!! When we got there, we saw the Chocolate girls unpacking loads and loads of boxes containing 2007 HAVAIANAS!!! I was like a kid inside a toy store. I was drooling! Mariel was excited to buy her first pair. I told her that I would like to buy her (as her Christmas gift) her first pair of 2007 Havaianas! (because she couldn’t decide what to buy between two kinds of Stripe Havies) She was delighted! Grabe! Grabe talaga! She ended up with two pairs!

Maski nasa floor pa ang Havies sukat kami ng sukat. Hahaha! At maski magulo pa ang store at super mega busy ang mga sales ladies okay lang! Kami ang unang pumili at nagsukat.

After that Havaiana high, we went to Gloria Jeans to meet the seller of Belle de Jour 2007 Power Planner. I saw an article about it at Shopcrazy and completely loved it. Mas mura kasi kaysa sa Starbucks Planner. Plus! They have discount coupons para sa mga shopaholics! Hehehe!!!

After all the shopping and walking around the mall from 5pm to 8:00pm, we had dinner at Teryaki Boy, talked some more and by 8:30pm uwian na.

Thanks Mariel for being my shopping buddy today, till our next adventure. Hehehe!!!

Sapantaha

It’s been a week since Jet started his training at Future Perfect - one whole week of not seeing him and being with him.

I’ll be really really honest - ANG HIRAP!

I got used to seeing him like twice a week or thrice kung super luwag ang sched nya. But ever since he started with the training last Novermber 20, one whole week hindi ko sya nakita. Sa tagal ng relationship namin, this is the longest time na hindi kami nagkita. Hehehe! To think mag thre-three years na kami in a couple of months.

I guess ganun lang ang isang relasyon (as always). You learn to compromise if you want to make it work. Sanayan lang talaga and constant communication AND saying “I LOVE YOU” everyday.

Hay... He still has one more week before the dreaded assessment. Excited sya and at the same time I’m really happy for him. If everything goes well… this is the start of something big for him and me (that’s what he says to me, kasama ako sa lahat ng mangyayari sa buhay nya – which is something that no one has ever told me kaya I REALLY LOVE THIS GUY). So I’m crossing my fingers and praying hard.

~~~~
Yesterday, finally! After a week of missing him so much, he came to our house to fetch me. May gig ang Sapantaha sa San Pedro. First gig! Although I would prefer na we spend the weekend together lang, I cannot let him (and his band mates) miss their first ever gig – I’m not that selfish! And it would be a good chance for me to meet two of his band mates that I haven’t met yet (Edizon and Raffy). Si Christian kasi is his highschool friend and barkada, I’ve met him already (and even tried to match him with one of friends! Hehehe!). And also who wouldn’t be proud to watch your love perform, knowing that he dedicates his performance para sayo diba? Nakakakilig talaga.
So after Q.C. and spending some quality time, we went to Alabang. He showed me the building where he takes his classes. Then we went to ATC to have coffee before the big event. Every now and then he would feel nervous… Nasusuka ang loko… Hehehe! By 7:30PM we were on our way to pick-up his sister and a couple of friends at their place. Nagpalit sya ng shirt while I played with Lashley (his dog) then off we go.
When we arrived, almost every one was there. Pinakilala ako sa mga girlfriends ng friends nya at sa iba pang friends nya that I haven’t met yet. Nakakahiya mang aminin pero ako ang pinakamatanda sa grupo! Hehehe! But I never felt left out. Among the girlfriends nagkakahiyaan pa so medyo tahimik pa kami, I ended up talking to Christian most of the time (at kinukilit parin ako sa proposal nya). Among Jet’s friends I feel close to Christian kasi when Jet and I was starting pa, he was the first closest friend that Jet introduced me to and I know he’s not intimidated (or naiilang) by my age. Which is nice. I miss that guy na nga eh… we don’t get to see each other that much anymore kasi he works na.
Anyways, we waited for their turn. SOBRANG TAGAL! Medyo nakakadala pero iba talaga noh. Once na it was their turn – WOW! Biglang taas ng adrenalin. All original ang songs nila – all three of them. “Mediocre”, “Forsaken For Granted” and “Nostalgia”. They also have one cover song “Messiah” by Sepultura they didn’t perform it though. It was the first time that I heard him sing and perform at ibang-iba sya. I don’t know siguro may halong bias narin ito. Hehehe!!! Kaso iba talaga sya eh… Even though the performance all-in-all isn’t perfect but it was NOT THAT bad. I like all their songs especially the part where he growls. Buong-buo parang demonyo talaga ang dating! Hehehe! And I find it REALLY sexy! HAHAHA!!!
I could feel Jet’s tension. I was really nervous during their performance. I was praying that they wouldn’t mess up. Hehehe! Forget his lines or pumiyok ng sobra sobra that people would start to boo him or magkamali sa instruments, fortunately naman walang nangyari ganun and wala namang nambastos. Everybody was behaved and watching intently. I was with Fatima. I told her na nanginginig ako sa nerbyos and then she told me natatawa daw sya pero kinakabahan rin. Hehehe!!! Two crazy girls! I had wobbly knees sobra! After the performance we were clapping madly. I’M SO PROUD OF HIM. SO PROUD OF HIM...
But of course everything wouldn’t happen without his band mates. Credits to them also for doing their best. CHRISTIAN for looking so cool. EDIZON for being hyper all night and on guitars and of course RAFFY for doing great in drums. For me nagagalingan ako sa kanya magplay ng drums. I wouldn’t know anything technical about it but the sounds – okay sya talaga. Gusto ko yung beat.
After the performance pack-up na. I was hoping we could eat and talk pa about the performance kung hindi lang pagod kaming lahat. Siguro next gig ulit (I’m ready for more). Hehehe! I’m really looking forward to spending more time with them and continue giving my support.
Never ever thought that I would be doing this kind of thing in my whole life. May biruan nga kami ni Jet, groupie daw nya ako tapos ang tawag ko naman sa kanya… My Rock Star! Hahaha!
A very tiring weekend. I got home at around 5:00AM kanina! Imagine uuwi si Jet na may araw na. I was asking him to sleep nalang here at home kaso he said baka hindi na nya maayos gamit nya for tomorrow’s class. So sabi ko sige go nalang pero not unless okay sya to travel.
Finally at 6:00AM I was in bed – dead tired but very much happy.
I will always remember that experience. Going to a gig and watching a band play. A band na lead singer pa ang boyfriend ko. Wagi talaga!
As the saying goes… you’ll never forget your first.
Food Trip
Dinner at Burgoo in Gateway Mall yesterday, ayaw ni Jet dito kumain I don't know why... Siguro kasi wala namang difference sila ng Friday's or Chilli's but I really love their Nachos at yung maglaro habang you wait for your food. Doodle stuff on your table... Maski hindi ako marunong magdrawing ever!
Be, creating his masterpiece!
The FOOD. Kaya ba natin ito be? :p
Busog na... Naubos ang calamari but the burgers and nachos... Ahhh!! Suko kami!
~~~~

Then last Friday (November 10), we tried Joel Torre's Bbq Restaurant at Barangay Valencia near Greenhills. JT’s Manukan. We even saw him while we were looking for a parking space. That's the only glitch there. Sobrang hirap magpark. Unfortunately Joel Torre left before we could even have our photo op with him. Bummer! Crush ko pa naman siya. He’s super gwapo kahit he’s old na. Galing kasing actor eh kaya I really really like him a lot.

Anyways, the food was great. Iba lasa compared sa nga Baliwag or Sr. San Pedro or any bbq chicken you’ll get around the metro. Ika nga nila… Original inasal. What ever that means… Never been to Bacolod so how will I know diba? All I know is that the food taste great and they are very mura talaga. Tapos big serving pa. Worth every penny you pay. You better try their Batchoy! Grabe! Sarap talaga!

The ambiance is okay. Sarap mag-inuman at mag relax… Typical ihaw-ihaw place. Plus a great actor serving you, if you get the chance. O diba?!

Our bill totaled 287.00 Mura diba?! I promised to go back there! Next time dapat may picture na with Fafa Joel!!!

The yummy and sinful Batchoy! A must try!

Pecho ng manok

Takaw ni be!!! Hehehe!!!

Lashley

Jet almost lost his dog today. Somebody left the gate open.

He went home not noticing that Lashley didn’t greet him when he entered their gate. He went inside his room, fixed his things and prepared food for Lashley and then he realized Lashley was not there. He went outside their gate and called his name, same result. Then he called me…

It was upsetting and I was crying like as if it was my own dog that got lost.

Upsetting because I could hear and feel what Jet’s sentiment was. He was crying on the other line. He was devastated and I never heard him that way before. He sounds like somebody died. It was bad.

Upsetting because I just bought (today) Lashley a leash as a gift so that Jet could walk him around their subdivision and a few weeks ago I bought him a jersey shirt. I love that dog even though I don’t see him that often; he is my boyfriend’s dog after all, my Mandy’s nephew and generally because of my grown fondness of dogs. When ever I buy stuff for my own dogs, I see to it that I would buy something for Lashley too.

We put down the phone because he wants to check again their neighborhood just in case Lashley turns up. He said he’ll call back what ever the result is.

While waiting for Jet, I was recalling what happened earlier. Before we left to visit a church today we even uploaded some photos of Lashley from his phone to my laptop. I was telling him how cute and big Lashley has grown. He even retold me the first day that Lashley came to their house. How between Lashley and his sister Clonecy, it was Lashley that he loves the most even though Lashley is banlag and pandak. On the way to the church we saw so many dogs roaming the street, malnourished and sick. I told him how my heart goes to them and if only I have a big house with a garden I would adopt them all. Hehehe! That would be a riot. Anyway, just tonight before going home, we were talking about our dogs again and never, never ever thought that something like this would happen to either of us.

Fortunately, the friends of his sister found Lashley. Soon enough, Lashley was eating his food and Jet was happy again but emotionally drained.

I was thankful that Lashley didn’t end up as a “pulutan” to any drinking session around their subdivision.

Some people might think that Jet over reacted and it’s “just” a dog. Why make to much fret? For me, it’s not just a dog. It’s a responsibility and a privilege. God gave you a chance to take care of something that he created so do your part and also the people around you should do their part, they may not take care of the creature the same way that you do but God gave you the ability to think… USE IT!
