I am currently occupied with my mother’s upcoming birthday this October 21st. Though we never invited anyone in particular (except for my own friends and Jet hehehe!), my Nanay’s birthday is known to all our relatives. So we expect some of them will be coming over to visit her all the same. I pre-ordered her cake from Shoppersville (my favorite bake shop) last Monday. I’ve set aside some money for the food, flowers and a simple decoration. A simple party to celebrate as my Nanay turns 82 years old. Hope everything go well…
At the same time, I’m trying to finish this “special project” of mine for two my closest friends bound to leave in a few weeks. I’m still way behind my schedule. I already doubt if I will finish it on time.
I’m sad because their leaving us mid-November of this year. But I know it is all for their future. Ariesyl is leaving for Australia together with her son and her husband while Hazel is leaving for Malaysia to teach in the University of Nottingham (I’m so PROUD of her!). But that’s another entry.
Next week October 27, I’ll be celebrating my 29th birthday. Yahoo!!! I feel so old already. The next day (28th), I’ll be celebrating it with my high school barkada as I always do for the past years of my life since we got together again after college. Also we are going to celebrate the departure of Ariesyl and Hazel. I’m really really really looking forward to it.
It seems that, the only cure from depression, sadness and trouble is when you surround yourself with the people who really care…. But in a few weeks time…two of them will be far away from me… Huhuhu!!!
Stop it! I’m going to cry now! I don’t want to cry… Enough!

Talk about being stupid!!!
Jai and I (my best friend since high school) for the past month have been spending time together every weekend. We usually have coffee and talk about how our past week was. Yesterday though, we went shopping for some kikay stuff. It’s been a long time since we went shopping together. After dinner we went to Rustan’s at Gateway Mall and both bought this new perfume by Inno Sotto, the designer. It was 60% off. Who could pass that? Plus the fact that it smelled nice. We bought two different scents so that we won’t be caught wearing the same perfume together… Hehehe!!! After that we went to Beauty Bar to look for this certain nail polish that I read in Cosmo but alas it was not available there. The sales lady told me to go to Rockwell and visit Dashing Diva for more choices.. I will if I’ll have time to go there.
Anyways, so failing to buy the polish that I wanted, we looked around the store and were drawn to these tall bottles of perfumes in the center of the shop. We smelled some of them and even tried a couple of scent. I bought one. Mango & Lime by Asquith & Somerset. They really do smell wonderful. Happy with our purchases, we went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and have our usual coffee and cig.
I was so excited with what we bought; I told Jai that I would like to check them out na. So I did! Starting with the Inno Sotto perfumes. The first bottle I opened was not the one that I liked. Grabe! I was surprised and when I opened the other bottle fortunately it was the one Jai wanted. So thinking about what to do with it because I didn’t really liked its musky aroma. Jai said she’ll try to return the item and exchange it with the one I wanted. She was an angel. So off she goes. Waited for her to return and checked the new bottle and seeing and smelling it was the right one; I turned to my Mango & Lime. I was so so so shocked and at the same time so embarrassed thinking about what we both did. Remember, we tried a couple of scent of Asquith & Somerset perfumes. We sprayed some of them on our wrist and arms… Only to find out it was…. a ROOM FRAGRANCE!!!!

Hahaha!!!! Goodness me! I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breath. So embarrassed I don’t want to return to Beauty Bar for the next couple of months!!! Imagine what could have been the sales ladies thinking when they saw us spraying room fragrance to ourselves!!! Two-crazy-STUPID-women!!! Hahaha!!!!
I’m only human. Please don’t be unkind. Please!!! Just laugh with me! :p
I couldn’t bring myself to tell Jet about it. Or else it will be an endless tuksuhan! As if I’m not embarrassed enough! That guy could be really cruel sometimes! Hehehe! Jai on the other hand was cool about it… ice queen! :p
Anyways… Lesson learned: ALWAYS always read the label and inspect the product thoroughly! Okay!? Don’t be stupid like us… Hehehe!!!

What a weekend it was…
Friday, Jet and I together with my Nanay, Ate Lita and Jenelyn went to Loyola to see the grave of my dear Tatay. It’s been months since the last visit. The grave is well kept. Thanks to my ever faithful caretaker Mang Danny.
It was almost 5:30 PM when we arrived. A few people were there also. Lighting candles, saying a prayer and paying respect. I liked the ambiance. The sun beginning to set and all you could hear were the leaves from the trees surrounding us gently swaying with the wind. We lit some candles and said our prayers. My Nanay was asking a lot of questions, some of which we couldn’t understand. The only thing we understood was when she asked about my Tatay, her father and her mother. Who are all buried in front of her. All we could say was they’re all in heaven and all she did was stared at us blankly. I wanted to cry… I miss my Tatay. And I miss seeing my old Nanay. The Nanay I used to know. Before all these… But that’s another story. Sad story.
Before going home, we shared some food, few stories and a last prayer. It was around 7:00 PM when we left. But the moon was there to help us find our way back.

Finally, I’ve accomplished what I came for. I’ve told my Tatay what my plans are in the near future. And I hope he gave me his blessings.
After our trip to Loyola, Jet and I went to Coffee Bean for our ritual tea and cig. Then I decided to ask Jai (my best friend) if she wants to join me and Jet for coffee or something it’s been awhile since the three of us got together.
She came and we stayed there till 10:30 PM. Then we decided to bring Jai to her work in Makati. But along the way, being a bad girl that I am, I convinced her not to go to work anymore… Hehehe! So we decided to play billiards near her place in Marikina.

It’s been almost a year I think since Jai and I played billiards, Jet on the other hand I don’t know. But he is quite good, really good for a player who’s been inactive for so long. We had to remind him several times that we are also part of the game. My goodness! He was playing like a mad man!
After an hour and a half we called it a night. On the way home, I was convincing Jet to stay over but he was making all these excuses that really irritated me. So I just stopped convincing him and ignored him until he dropped us off and till the minute he was about to go home. Didn’t kiss him goodnight or even looked at him. I just sent him a message and when he replied that he’s home safe, I ignored him till the next day.

Saturday, I just spent the whole day watching TV with Jai. She went home around 2PM and I slept after she left. When I woke up I still have this bad feeling inside me because of last night with Jet. I just don’t feel okay whenever we have our fights. It’s been a long time since we had one. So I sent him a text message asking him to call me. But what happened was we had another big fight. It ended up me slamming the phone on him which he really hates. He called again but I didn’t answer it anymore. I hated him so much. I slept with a heavy heart that night.
The next day I woke up from a sound of heavy footsteps approaching my room. I was listening for my babies to bark or make any noise. Usually they make noise when ever they see these certain people or when they see strangers. But I was curious and mad at the same time because they didn’t react to this person who’s making a lot of racket. When I turned in my bed to look whoever entered my room, I was really really surprised to see – who else! Jet. Looking so nervous. “Gising na! Bilis! Nandyan sa baba si Papa!” Boy! Talk about rude awakening. I was smiling when I saw his face because I thought he came over just to patch things up with me. I was saying to myself “Awww… Love nya talaga ako…” But when I heard him say “… Papa” I almost fell off my bed. “HUWAT?! WHY?!” His father wants to talk to me about something over coffee. I looked at the clock it was 10AM… Too early (for me on a Sunday)! I’m still sleepy. I told him that they should go ahead and I’ll just follow them. He went down but after a few minutes then he texted and told me they’ll wait for me outside. I told myself “This is crunch time!” So within 10 minutes I was ready. Went down and told him to fetch me inside our office. I didn’t want to go outside by myself. I was scared and so nervous because it is my first time to meet his father though we’ve been together for almost three years now. There’s always a first time for everything.
We had coffee at a McDonald near our place. We talked about this future business his father is planning to put up. I was staring at his father coolly half the time. I was so nervous I felt my mind freeze. Plus the fact that I was surprised, so mentally I was still not functioning until after our meeting. Hehehe! I was just smiling the whole time fidgeting with my coffee that tasted so bad. Jet on the other hand is cool, sipping his black coffee, nodding and sometimes teases me with his foot. It was the longest two hours of my life though it was nice meeting his Papa finally.
So after dropping me off, Jet and I still exchanged messages. His message was “So, are we okay already?” which I answered with “Hindi pa! Dahil lang sa Papa mo kaya kita binati kanina noh!”
But of course it was not true…

What the f*ck!!!
I’m a little bit down lately.
Try to mask it. Try to hide things from the people around me.
But I’m close to breaking down.
Really close.
Things are hard.
Really hard.
I don’t know how long I could hold on.
~~~~
Jet and I went out today but no matter how much he tried to make me laugh, I couldn’t bring myself to laugh with him. We played bowling but my score was as low as my mood was. I felt tired after the game. I was not paying any attention to what he talked about. I was pushing his buttons and he almost lost it a couple of times. I feel sorry for him. He had to put up with me the whole time. But I guess that’s love.
I wasn't my old self. I was a bitch. Total bitch! Even seeing Havaianas from Chocolate couldn’t lift my spirit. I was possessed!
~~~~
I don’t know why I’m like this. I’m way past my PMS stage- just had my period so PMS is not the culprit.
Maybe because I feel tired already. Feel tired of what’s happening in my life right now. I couldn’t even make myself cry. I feel that there’s this big black hole inside me that’s eating me ever so slowly....
I couldn’t even finish this damn entry. God! What’s wrong with me!!!
~~~~
I wish that when I sleep tonight, it’ll be gone tomorrow.
Besides, tomorrow’s another day.
Finally!
Bowling! Finally after weeks of planning and all the jinxes natuloy rin kaming dalawa.
We played for like an hour and a half but it felt like we played for one whole day.
First game, I won by one point. Second game, Jet won by 10 points and for the third and last game, I won by 14 points! Hehehe! Considering, I was tired already and my period giving me cramps.
On average though, our scores never hit 80! Nakakahiya man… Because it’s been a long long long time since we last played a game. Nevertheless, our main objectives were to have fun and do something together for the first time. And we sure had lots of fun and laughing off our “kanal” na tira and our funny gestures and errors.
Jet, kept telling me na pinagbigyan lang daw nya ako kaya ako nanalo… Okay! Fine! Sabi mo eh! Next time talo ka parin noh! Hehehe!
After bowling, we ate at Nipa Hut. Had a couple of beers and called it a night.
Updates updates updates!
The past two weeks have been really exciting and at the same time boring for me… Hehehe! Nothing much happened really… A road trip, new restaurant and things that are almost but not quite enough… Ha! Life!
Went to Tagaytay with Jet because we were so bored and nothing really worked for us. Malling – He didn’t like. Movie – I didn’t like. He wanted to ride a bus from north to south but I wasn’t in mood to travel in a bus. Then he said we ride the MRT but I said, “baka puno”. So, after thinking and thinking over our melting ice cream, I said “Tagaytay!” Take note, it was already 2:30PM and our van is under the color coding. So Jet drove like crazy from Cubao to C5. By 2:58PM we were crossing the Kalayaan Intersection. We were safe!
4:30 we were eating bulalo at Mahogany Market. 5:30 sipping coffee at Starbucks. And by 8:30PM we were on our way home. Exhausting right? Especially on his part who lives in Muntinlupa. But he said it was worth it. Basta kasama nya daw ako, walang pagod pagod. How sweet…
Then, two days after we were supposed to go bowling but cancelled it at the last minute because his friends asked him if he wants to watch their gig at Tomas Morato and meet their producer. I said “Why not. Sige let’s watch them together with your band mates too.” So after all the negotiations where and the time to meet, unfortunately it got cancelled also because of the rain. Biglang umulan ng sobrang lakas! We decided nalang to go bowling as what we’ve planned earlier, but something funny happened along the way. Biglang nagloko ang van. Kalokah! So twice na syang nacacancel okay! We went home nalang instead and watched TV.
Tuesday, we went to Megamall again. Bowling. Must play bowling! But, I really don’t know why we are SOOOO jinx when it comes to that sport. For the third time, our bowling session was cancelled because there is a tournament scheduled until 8:00PM… Wow! What a bummer really! Three times! We watched Monster’s House instead and tried Mannang for the first time. We were supposed to eat at Mann Hann. My father’s favorite restaurant, but when I saw the line outside the resto, grabe! Gutom nako noh! We tried Mannang nalang. The resto beside it… Not a bad choice. Jet liked their binagoongang baboy. I, on the other hand liked their baked oysters and tauge with shrimps. Too bad Jet couldn’t eat the veggies because of the shrimps. Still allergic to it and I don’t think he’ll get cured – ever! Hehehe! Wala na akong kaagaw talaga sa shrimps! Dinner was really good! Oh! And the movie is… cute. Un lang.
Today, okay we thought nothing could really stop us. I got the van fixed last Monday and it was okay when we used it last Tuesday. No rain. No work. No gig. So what could possibly prevent us from going to Megamall and our bowling session? What?! WHHAAAATTT?!
The van! The van acted up again. I called Kuya Tony and asked what could be wrong with the van. Kumakadyot kasi and it was going stronger by the minute. He said to bring the van to our mechanic for a quick check up. Buti nalang at hindi pa kami malayo from Project 4. So yun… dahan dahan lang sya nagdrive to keep the van from making that funny movement na “kadyot”.
Mang Fermin said it was because of the sparkplug… Sira. So he just replaced the old ones. After like 15 minutes or less we were okay. Libre na daw. I was happy.. Hehehe!!! On the way I told Jet, “Bakit kaya laging hindi natutuloy o may aberya yung bowling natin? Maybe it’s a sign that we shouldn’t do it. Baka may disaster waiting.” And he agreed. Wag nalang ipilit kung ayaw ng tadhana! Kalokah talaga. So we decided na it will happen in its own time. Wag nalang planuhin.
We still went to Megamall, had coffee, window shopped, had dinner at Mannang.. I love their oyster talaga! Highblood nga lang… Then, I bought stuff for our babies and cakes for Nanay and our angels.
That’s it! In between days, it’s been stress, stress, stress and a lot more of stress. I ate them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Boring life. I’m thankful that Jet’s in my life to make it more colorful… And bearable.
~~~~
I’m contemplating about a big change in my life. I still don’t know where to start. But I know I must work on it fast before it’s too late. I don’t know. Life’s full of shit lately. Real shit.
~~~~
As what my Ate Cindy usually say (as opposed to what I usually say “Life’s a journey”) LIFE’S A JOKE!
~~~~
Oh before I forget, Steve Irwin died. That’s shit!
I love the guy. He made watching the animal kingdom enjoyable. I love watching him. You could feel his passion with what he does. You could see his good relationship with his family and the people he worked with. Mother Nature lost another soldier. He could have done a lot of things pa naman sana. Sad. Sad. Sad. My heart and prayers goes to his family and friends.
I hope Jeff Corwin won’t suffer the same faith. He’s funny and cute.
Sir David Attenborough is old already (did I got his name right?). He is the first person I watched during the 80’s who talked about snakes and all those creepy animals on TV that scared me at first but learned to love because of him. Honestly it was him also who inspired me to think about being a Marine Biologist or an Archaeologist.
Those were the days.

"Magkapatid po ba kayo?"
Last Friday Jet and I had our first experience of spa together. We didn’t have anything to do so I said let’s have a body massage and try this Big Apple Day Spa at Gateway. He was a little bit hesitant. Nahihiya daw sya. I said it would be another first for us as a couple and it would be really relaxing. Finally after an hour of bugging him, he said yes but in one condition, he will not remove his socks! Nyak! Really! I was appalled! First, it would look weird. Second, it would be uncomfortable. Third, he looks like a D.O.M.! Hehehe! But alas! He didn’t budge. He said he doesn’t care whatever the girl that would be attending him will say or think. The socks will stay. And they did! My goodness!
Funny thing about our experience was, when the girl who attended me asked me this inane question. (Note that we were brought into our own individual rooms, got prepared, and the connecting door between us was opened enabling us to see each other - half naked.) When the silly girl asked me “MAGKAPATID PO BA KAYO?” With all innocence or nangaasar lang talaga look. Hellar! Can’t you see I’m half naked here for my alleged “brother” to see?! Who in her right mind be half naked in front of her brother!? Hay dios ko ‘day!
I courtly said “No!” and pretended to sleep. To avoid any ridiculous question she still has in store.
The whole 45 minutes of my massage, all I could hear was the sounds Jet was making. Nakikiliti daw sya, nabibigla, medyo masakit daw pero masarap and all his grunts. Plus the slightly nakakairitang background music of the spa. I swear! Nakakairita sya. It was the same sound I heard when I was there a month ago having a foot massage. Is that the only CD they have? How I wished their CD player would get busted or something just to stop that damn music from playing over and over again!
Jet’s massage was for an hour. So I finished first and I just sat there draped in a towel while I talked to him. Then the girl attending him asked me if we were married, sasabihin ko sanang “Hindi, magkapatid kami!” sarcastically. Hehehe! When I heard myself saying “Yes!” Bigla kong naisip na, first time kong matanong about it. I decided to play along nalang. Then she asked if we have kids already, I said “No.” It felt good to pretend that we’re married. Usually, he was the one who gets the question. He told me he likes saying that we are married. He likes the idea of me being his wife, the sound of saying “she is my wife”. Aliw lang - that he is comfortable with that word. Married.
Anyhow, all in all the massage was nice - they have a very reasonable price too. He enjoyed every moment of it. In fact, yesterday he was suggesting that we do it again. The only disappointment was that, they don’t have a shower or their own comfort room. You have to use the one inside the mall. Which is a little far from the spa. Fortunately for us, before we went to Gateway and had our body massage, we already had a shower at home so hindi kami amoy pawis or puro alikabok or libag (yuck!) Eh how about those who came from work or traveled far and wanted to relax… eh di puro pawis at libag un noh! It would really be uncomfortable and sticky kung hindi ka muna makafreshen up before the massage, eh they use oil pa naman. Lethal combination. Oil and dirt! Putik ang labas! Hahaha!
Hay… We did have a great time and would certainly be back for more. Pero ligo muna ha?!

Funny
"For all those men who say, Why buy a cow when you can get milk for free. Here's an update for you: Now a days, 80% of women are against marriage, WHY? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage."

Tattoo 2
At first, I wanted this one because of the sad face it exudes. I like it. I really do. But Jet said for a first timer like me, it would really be painful and that kinda scared me a lot. Hehehe!

FAIRY 2
The next choice is this one. I like the wings and the fairy looks battered, the idea which I love to capture in my tattoo. But Jet, again, thinks it's too cartonish... Hhmm.... I think he's right.

FAIRY 3
Then I found this one. I love the fairy except for the wings. Maybe I could use the wings from FAIRY 2 and incorporate it here or maybe alter it a little, depends on the artist i guess... Hmm... Jet said it's nice... Okay! Got my future tattoo ready...
About Loving
“When you give someone your time, You are giving them a portion of your life that you’ll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is T-I-M-E. Because the essence of love is not what we think or do or provide for others, But how much we give of ourselves.”
~ Something that I found in the internet. I think its nice and I just like to share it. ~

Isipin mo nalang…
At may pinagkatandaan.
At may pinagkatandaan.
Wag lang paurong!
