Amazing!
That’s all I could say after Jet and I tried the “Video Call” of our mobile phones for the first time.
Wow!
Truly amazing!
This 3G thing would really work for people who are in a long distance relationship, for someone who works abroad and misses his family, friends and for people who just want to see the reaction of the person they're talking to. Hay… there is finally an alternative in voice calls. Hehehe! Now, I’ll know if he’s telling the truth that he’s with his buddies or not!!! Hehehe! Joke! Joke! Joke! Or… just like Luis Manzano, I could kiss my Be goodnight even though he’s miles away…
Thanks to technology (Globe)…. bringing people together.
Talking about technology, I’m so surprised at how mobile phones now days could sound like a CD or an mp3 player. I mean the quality of the sound coming from a 3.5 x 1.5 inches mobile phone is astonishing! Really! And the pictures! Man! They are like Phone slash CD player slash digicam all in one. I love them! Gone are the days of black and white LCDs and monotones. Welcome 3G’s, 2mp camera phones, videos, radios, and music players…
Making life easier… :p

Butter Diner
Anyways, they remind me of diners I see in the movies. I just don’t like their menus. Sobrang unappealing! But the foods we’ve tried so far are really good! Jet loved their strawberry banana shake (he had two servings). I loved the fish and chips and their butter of the day – honey almond! Yummy!
Another food trip!
Beatle's Fish 'N Chips
Calamares
Baked Salmon
Ordinary People
Girl im in love with you
This ain't the honeymoon
Past the infatuation phase
Right in the thick of love
At times we get sick of love
It seems like we argue everyday
[Bridge]
I know i misbehave
And you made your mistakes
And we both still got room left to grow
And though love sometimes hurts
I still put you first
And we'll make this thing work
But I think we should take it slow
[Chorus]
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
Cuz we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow (Take it slow oh oh ohh)
This time we'll take it slow (Take it slow oh oh ohh)
This time we'll take it slow
[Verse 2]
This ain't a movie no
No fairy tale conclusion ya'll
It gets more confusing everyday
Sometimes it's heaven sent
We head back to hell again
We kiss and we make up on the way
[Bridge]
I hang up you call
We rise and we fall
And we feel like just walking away
But as our love advances
We take second chances
Though it's not a fantasy
I Still want you to stay
[Chorus]
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
Cuz we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow (Take it slow oh oh ohh)
This time we'll take it slow (Take it slow oh oh ohh)
This time we'll take it slow
[Verse 3]
Take it slow
Maybe we'll live and learn
Maybe we'll crash and burn
Maybe you'll stay, maybe you'll leave,
Maybe you'll return
Maybe you'll never find
Maybe we won't survive
But maybe we'll grow
We never know baby youuuu and I
[Chorus]
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go(hey)
Cuz we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow (Heyyy)
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
Cuz we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow (Take it slow oh oh ohh)
This time we'll take it slow (Take it slow oh oh ohh)
This time we'll take it slow
take it sloww
take it slow
this time we'll take it slow
Puerto Galera Part 2
It was our last day though. I hated to think about going home. I wanted to stay till Monday but then I knew lots of people would be leaving the same day. Baka jam packed na ang mga boat and I don’t want that. Dami kasing nagdatingan. Oh well...
Anyway, Jet told me he only wanted to see the sunset. But before that, after eating lunch, it was by accident that I checked onto his cellphone. It was not my intention to read it but it so happened that, he was asleep and I was doing nothing and I saw his phone and when I opened it there was a message. A message from someone who isn’t listed, curiosity got into me. I was soon exchanging messages to this girl who seems to know Jet but whose number isn’t listed. Damn! Isn’t that a little bit off? So! Ang kilay ng lola mo tumaas pati ata blood pressure ko. But I didn’t wake him so that the detective holmes inside me could work a little investigation with this “mystery texter”... Anyway, I’m not going to go deeper into that matter anymore. Basta everything ended well naman. He explained his side and I believed and trusted him.
After our afternoon naps we went to see our sunset and after that we had a very sumptuous dinner. We ordered 2 servings of inihaw na hipon, 2 chicken kebabs and one big inihaw na tilapia. Yummy! Grabe! After dinner we went back to our room and we fixed our stuff para tomorrow we don’t have to panic anymore packing our things. At around 10:00pm we went to Mindorine for our last drinking session. This time we ordered San Mig Lite only. I’ve learned my lesson! Hehehe! As usual, Mia was there… she too was partying hard and at the same time serving her customers. She’s really good and I will miss her. It was during this last drinking session that Jet and I really had a talk about the “girl” and what he told me really hit me hard. All I could think was “oohh… he really really loves me.” I was so stupid to ever doubt him. And I’m really lucky to have him in my life and to have him loving me. I couldn’t ask for anything else. I’m just happy he’s there.
Enough of the drama! After eight bottles of beers, we called it quits. We paid the bill, gave Mia her tip and left the bar happy and smashed! Hahaha! We even brought our last glass to our room. I was too sleepy to even finish it. Jet on the other hand wasn’t able to sleep that night. He watched TV and me while I slept. He was worried because I was snoring and talking in my sleep. I was just tired I guess.
The next day, I woke up at around 6:30 am. We went out for our last walk in the beach and our last breakfast in Peter’s then went back to our room to prepare. At 9:00am we were at the beach waiting for our ride to Batangas Pier. We took MV Brian again. The trip back was okay. It was tiring yes. But as I think of what Jet and I had, it was all worth it. Everything was all worth it.
I’m so happy because finally, the vacation that I’ve been waiting for a long time finally happened and it is with someone I truly like and loves. Everything that happened from the first day we arrived to the last day we were there was not planned and yet that’s what makes it more unforgettable. I would truly go back to the time wherein we would take walks and I felt peaceful, happy and contented and stress free. Now, I will have that sanctuary inside me (that memory) to look back to and relive whenever I would feel the pressure at work or at home. I have my memories of what we did at Puerto Galera. I have my memories of him inside my heart and everything that transpired and were revealed between us during our wonderful vacation there.
Can’t wait for our next vacation! Cebu? Or Ilocos? Hehehe!
Love you Be! Thank you so much.

Cafe Ten Titas
Anyways, we were supposed to watch a movie at Gateway but then tinamaan ako ng katamaran so dinner nalang. We went to Teryaki Boy but when we got there, the place was jam-packed. I told him “Why don’t we try Café Ten Tita’s, it’s a newly opened restaurant at Gateway”. He agreed.
That’s us. Not only do we appreciate music, love our dogs dearly but we also love to try different restaurants. We love to eat. Doesn’t it show? Hehehe!
Café Ten Tita’s. The café looks like any restaurants you see ordinarily inside a mall. But the minute we sat down and got the menu, Jet and I were grinning like silly kids. We couldn’t decide what to order! We were mesmerized by the way the menu was made. It was big! Like 8 x 14 inches. Each page has wonderful pictures. Nakakahilo nga eh, makes it harder to decide what to eat tuloy. Parang you are suddenly bombarded with these colorful pages and all you could do is stare at it and get lost. We had to read the menu from page one till the end before we could order.
The story behind the resto, according to the book… err menu, the Chef got all her tita’s recipes (from tita’s biologically to tita’s that are friends of her parents) and modified it to become her own recipes. Really interesting! We ordered Dilis Salad with Bagoong Balayan Vinaigrette for starters. Then Jet ordered Lengua Estofado (with olives take note!), it was really good. Then Tokwa’t Baboy Reduxe (with Grilled Pork Liempo), by far this is the best tokwa’t baboy I ever tasted. If you like your tokwa and the pork really crispy, you have to try their version (really good with beer!). And I ordered Bangus Belly Ala Kiev. For the drink, I had Mango Pepino Shake and Jet only had water. Grabe!!! Presentation wise, I could say, it’s like eating in a hotel restaurant. Taste wise, yeah… It was good, something new to my palate. Price range, it was okay. A meal would cost you like 105.00 to 295.00 Pwede na! Over all rating, a perfect date restaurant. If you want to impress a girl but don’t want to spend that much you should try it there!
God! I want to try their Pandesal Forever section (sandwiches) and their Dear Turon… Love Sago (desserts). They have nice names.... Hehehe!
p.s.
Last Friday (June 16) we went back at Café Ten Tita’s. This time I ordered Tocino Carbonara and Jet tried their Spanish Sardines Pasta and also another Tokwa’t Baboy and Watermelon shakes. Yummy!!!
I’ll be coming back for more. Seriously, I want to try all of their food! Hehehe! If I could…

Puerto Galera Part 1
It's been one good weekend for me. Actually I never thought it would ever happen… But it did and I’m soooooo happy!
Wednesday (June 7), I was still trying to convince Jet to go with me. But I knew he wouldn’t let me leave all by myself. Konsensya nalang nya noh. So after bugging him endlessly, he finally said yes! Thursday, I was busy the whole day. So I wasn’t able to fix my things for the trip or see if I still needed some more stuff. After making the payroll, I went to Cubao to do some last minute shopping.
I started packing at around 9pm and didn’t finish until 2am. Jet told me if I was going to bring my whole closet with me. Took me five hours to pack one single backpack! Hehehe! I was tired and so sleepy. I didn’t even have time to play with my babies before I went to bed. Jet was up all night playing poker with his friends. He will sleep in the bus on the way to Batangas Pier nalang daw. Friday, after two hours of sleep, I woke up, had my breakfast, showered and called Jet to check if he’s ok. I told him to meet me at the station in front of Ali Mall at 6am. We’ll be taking Alps Bus Liner.
Goodness! I was really ecstatic! I was grinning the whole time I was ready to leave the house, boarded the taxi and seeing him standing near a donut shop! Grabe! This is it pansit! We’re leaving na! (I thought). At 6:15, the bus left the station. I said goodbye to Cubao and as soon as we entered the South Luzon Express Way, I fell asleep. And after two and a half hours, we were entering the Batangas Pier. Though the place has been renovated, a lot of things seemed to be familiar with me. People asking where we’re going, convincing us to ride their boats, buy pasalubong, eat at their karinderya. Jet on the other hand was oblivious to his surroundings. Still thinking about that boat ride he’ll be taking for the first time. He’s scared! Hehehe! I bought two tickets from MV Brian which was leaving at 8:45am… we didn’t have time to sit at the waiting area, we headed straight to the gate and walked to this big big boat… I don’t know what its name is. It’s not a RORO… It’s a BIG boat that could carry like 30-40 passengers? But because it is an off season, we were less than 20. Which is good because hindi kami crowded. We were delayed for 15 minutes but as soon as I heard the engine was turned on, I was excited! We still have 1 and a half hour to two hours to get to White Beach. And I missed traveling by boat. Hindi kasi ako mahilohin sa dagat. Jet was at first holding my hand. He smoked a couple of cigs before he got the hang of it. Plus, he was the only person there who was scared as a cat. Hehehe! It was fun.
We arrived in White Beach at around 11am. I didn’t want to walk anymore to look for a place to stay because it was hot and I was hungry already. We took the nearest available and nice place we could find. We stayed at White Beach Nipa Hut and Restaurant. We paid 1,500 a night for a good-for-three-person room, with aircon and a cable TV. It was a good place; near the MV Brian Station (tapat lang talaga), near Peter’s Bar and Restaurant and the other bars in the island. I guess it was a good choice.
For our first day, we slept for an hour before we went out to check out the place. We had lunch at Peter’s Bar and Restaurant. Goodness me! Good food and good serving! I’m telling you, you’ll have your moneys worth there. Every centavo is worth it man! After that, we rested more before we headed for the beach. I have never seen White Beach almost as empty as it was the day we arrived there. I loved it. It was quiet and ika nga ni Jet, “sarap lasapin ang view”. So, I had my body massage there, while Jet read a book. It was so good! Grabe! For only 200 you’ll have a whole body massage. We waited for the sunset and took some pictures.
- I love watching the sunset...-
- especially if you have someone to watch it with-
After that we walked in the beach, checked out other activities, bars and souvenir shops. Jet convinced me to have a Henna Tattoo and I decided to have it on my right hand (A Mhendi Art). Then we went back to our place and… I had a shower and we (heh heh)… rested for a while. Had dinner at Peter’s and went out to celebrate our first night. We went to Mindorine Bar and met "Mia" our waitress (a very jolly person) I really liked her err.. him.. her... whatever and we had one pitcher of Mindoro Sling (a rave there!) Damn! I’m telling you. It kicked me in the ass! I was drunk after my 10th shot! Jet had two beers and a few shots. I got drunk so fast because he was teaching me how to play poker and loser takes a shot or shots depending on how many we bet. He was really trying to get me drunk and I was losing big time. Goodness! ¼ of the Mindoro Sling was only left when I surrendered and told him I’m drunk as a skunk and he better bring me to our room fast or else I’ll pass out in our table. He was laughing. I was crying. I was so happy to be there and alcohol got into me. I became so emotional. Funny, the next day I don’t even remember some of it. Hehehe! But I was happy! :)

Dinners
It was really great seeing Nancy and Ate Saly again. It’s like a trip back to memory lane. Am I that old? Hehehe! Grabe! They’re still the same crazy girls I knew back then. Nancy is still horny as ever and Ate Saly’s still the same mahinhin – kuno! Nancy came with her husband. Finally! Met him na. It was a good crazy dinner at Superbowl of China at Gateway Mall. I think we were the loudest table there. We even saw Cris, a school mate.
It all started with an e-mail. Nancy, after missing for almost five years, suddenly e-mailed me! I was really surprised! I even cried reading her e-mail. Because ever since she left AMa I’ve been searching for her. But after a long time of no success, I finally gave up. But I couldn’t forget about her. She’s been my best friend during my AMA days and she helped me a lot and she’s been really good to me. Every now and then, I would think about her and whatever happened to her. I thought she’s already based in Canada. But life’s really full of surprises. She told me, she’s been through a lot. Aww.. I really missed her. I missed talking to her about relationships, family problems… serious stuff and sometimes crazy stuff. We didn’t have that chance because Jet was with me and Emer, her husband was there too. Maybe next time she visits Manila. She lives is Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. Layo but she said I could visit her anytime I want. I wish I could.
Anyway, too bad I wasn’t able to charge the damn digicam! Dami sana pictures. Oh well! Maybe next time! There will be a next time!
Good food with good friends! I couldn’t ask for more!
~~~~~
After dinner I asked Jet if I could have a few bottles of beer. It's been a stressful week for me. And whenever it involves money and work... Goodness! I need a break! So when he said "Alright. But we’ll both only have two bottles each ok?" I immediately said yes! I thought I wanted to drink a little bit more than two bottles and I would persuade him when we get there nalang for the two more extra bottles. Hehehe!
I suggested we go to (again) Que Rico. We're already regular customers there. Hehehe! For the first time I didn't ordered any food (pulutan). I just needed beer! Beer! Beer! Iced cold BEER!!! And when the bottles were gone, I was looking – begging for another beer. But with a firm tone he said, “Didn’t I said two bottles only?” Ayun! Wala na! All I could do was nod my head as he asked for the bill. Oh well… Two bottles are better than none at all… Hehehe! Hindi kasi sya malakas uminom… Kainis! :p
Last night, I had this craving for Italian food. I sms Jai and asked her if she’s wants to eat at my favorite resto, Italianni’s for dinner before she goes to work. She agreed.
We had a salad, a pasta, eggplant parmageana (tama ba spelling ko? Hahaha!) and calamares. I had a watermelon shake which was too sweet and she had grape shake. Grabe! Nothing beats my stress but my comfort foods!
Three hours later, Jai’s on her way to work and I’m on my way home.
Ahhh…. Life’s little pleasure.
