Cafe Ten Titas

Jet came over today although we've been only separated for less than 24 hours. That’s just him. Sometimes he would be full of surprises, sometimes sarap naman sapukin dahil sobrang manhid. :p

Anyways, we were supposed to watch a movie at Gateway but then tinamaan ako ng katamaran so dinner nalang. We went to Teryaki Boy but when we got there, the place was jam-packed. I told him “Why don’t we try Café Ten Tita’s, it’s a newly opened restaurant at Gateway”. He agreed.

That’s us. Not only do we appreciate music, love our dogs dearly but we also love to try different restaurants. We love to eat. Doesn’t it show? Hehehe!

Café Ten Tita’s. The café looks like any restaurants you see ordinarily inside a mall. But the minute we sat down and got the menu, Jet and I were grinning like silly kids. We couldn’t decide what to order! We were mesmerized by the way the menu was made. It was big! Like 8 x 14 inches. Each page has wonderful pictures. Nakakahilo nga eh, makes it harder to decide what to eat tuloy. Parang you are suddenly bombarded with these colorful pages and all you could do is stare at it and get lost. We had to read the menu from page one till the end before we could order.

The story behind the resto, according to the book… err menu, the Chef got all her tita’s recipes (from tita’s biologically to tita’s that are friends of her parents) and modified it to become her own recipes. Really interesting! We ordered Dilis Salad with Bagoong Balayan Vinaigrette for starters. Then Jet ordered Lengua Estofado (with olives take note!), it was really good. Then Tokwa’t Baboy Reduxe (with Grilled Pork Liempo), by far this is the best tokwa’t baboy I ever tasted. If you like your tokwa and the pork really crispy, you have to try their version (really good with beer!). And I ordered Bangus Belly Ala Kiev. For the drink, I had Mango Pepino Shake and Jet only had water. Grabe!!! Presentation wise, I could say, it’s like eating in a hotel restaurant. Taste wise, yeah… It was good, something new to my palate. Price range, it was okay. A meal would cost you like 105.00 to 295.00 Pwede na! Over all rating, a perfect date restaurant. If you want to impress a girl but don’t want to spend that much you should try it there!

God! I want to try their Pandesal Forever section (sandwiches) and their Dear Turon… Love Sago (desserts). They have nice names.... Hehehe!

p.s.

Last Friday (June 16) we went back at Café Ten Tita’s. This time I ordered Tocino Carbonara and Jet tried their Spanish Sardines Pasta and also another Tokwa’t Baboy and Watermelon shakes. Yummy!!!

I’ll be coming back for more. Seriously, I want to try all of their food! Hehehe! If I could…
